Indiana Wesleyan University is searching for a full-time evening/weekend manager for our Cleveland site (4100 Rockside Road, Independence, Ohio, 44131). 
 
The hours of work are Mondays through Thursdays from 3:00PM – 11:00PM, Saturdays from 8:00AM – 1:00PM, and some Fridays as needed.  This is a full-time position that will average 32-37 hours per week.  The salary range is $10-12/hr (to be fully determined by HR upon hire).  Ideally, this position is suitable for someone who works well with technology, is able to perform physical work with tables and chairs in classrooms, can calmly handle emergency situations, is not intimidated by conflict, is administratively capable of updating files and responding to emails, is good with people to monitor and help guests at the front desk, is a mission-fit by having a personal relationship with Jesus, and is currently active in a local church family.  It’s a lot to ask for in one position!  We have been blessed with excellent evening managers over the years, and pray that God will help us connect with the right person for this role.

Job Description:
Shall serve as an assistant to the Regional Dean and be responsible for evening and Saturday operations. Shall assist in all areas of building operations which include student and faculty support, building maintenance, security, and occupant safety.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Review evening usage schedule, unlock classrooms, ensure A/V equipment is in place and room is ready for classroom usage.
  2. Ensure service areas of the building are properly maintained and adequately stocked with supplies. This includes but is not limited to the kitchen, student lounge, restrooms, common areas, vending, etc.
  3. Greet and assist students and faculty as they enter the building for classes. Be prepared to direct them to their classroom as well as to the service areas of the building.
  4. Assist students and faculty with instructional supplies and the troubleshooting of A/V equipment.
  5. Responsible to answer phones once the office staff has left for the evening.
  6. Make decisions with regard to building and occupant safety. This includes but is not limited to notification of weather emergencies and building evacuations.
  7. Assist with minor and routine building maintenance issues. Among them include changing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, cleaning spills, clean parking lot debris, etc.
  8. Assist with merchandise transactions which include IWU apparel and gifts.
  9. After evening classes, ensure rooms are set-up for the next day’s activities (classes or conferences).
  10. Ensure building is locked and secure following the evening shift.
  11. Attend to other duties as assigned.
