The Cuyahoga Valley Chamber of Commerce is delighted to
announce that the City of Seven Hills has joined as the
sixth community it serves. The City has more than 14,000
residents and over 100 businesses, and Mayor David
Bentkowski is looking forward to a long-lasting partnership
with the chamber as those numbers increase.
On the horizon for Seven Hills is the $350 million dollar
Rockside Terrace project, with construction possibly
starting later this year. This 75-acre Lifestyle Center on
Rockside Road will be 20 acres bigger than Crocker Park and
bring in dozens of retail and commercial businesses. The
Mayor is also spearheading a dramatic beautification and
development effort on Broadview Road, creating a “downtown”
for Seven Hills.
According to Mayor Bentkowski, “This is long overdue. The
Cuyahoga Valley Chamber is a perfect match for our City
because our neighboring cities make great peers and there is
so much more we could be doing together to advance all of
our interests. Seven Hills is like a brother to
Independence, Valley View, etc., and we seek to support the
Chamber any way we can while helping each community showcase
its unique offerings.”
The Mayor is also excited about what Seven Hills brings to
the table. “Not only do we intend to encourage our Rockside
and Broadview businesses to join, but thanks to having over
14,000 people, we have a ton of individual business owners
that we want to get involved in the Chamber. On every street
in the City we have solo lawyers, insurance agents,
realtors, right on down to the housewife that makes gift
baskets. These are all people and business owners that have
wanted to be part of a group like the Chamber like the
Cuyahoga Valley Chamber of Commerce.”
The positive results for the Chamber should show up
immediately. Mayor Bentkowski was chomping at the bit for
final approval because he wants to host some special member
recruiting events to start getting new members in and
active. According to Mayor Bentkowski, “We want to show our
appreciation for the admission by bringing in a lot of
support and growing the Chamber as quickly as we can.”
