EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
by Lynette Slama

Congratulations to our new officers and welcome to our new board members.

Just a few housekeeping issues. We only accept Visa and Master card when paying by credit card on our secured site. The turn out for our events has been great. Please remember to RSVP so we can be prepared for the correct amount of guests. Please let me know if you are bringing
a guest for the first time so that one of our Board members can make sure to welcome them and answer any questions they might have.

If you need to RSVP, have a question about an upcoming event or program, or if there is anything I can do for you or your organization, please call me at 216/573-2707. If I do not answer, please leave me a voicemail.

Thank you.

COMMUNITY
Scholarship Awards

Chamber Scholarship Available

At chamber events, the Board has a 50/50 raffle to raise funds for the CVCC Education Scholarship.

The CVCC Education Scholarship Award is presented to qualifying private or public high school graduates in the Brooklyn Heights, Cuyahoga Heights, Independence, Valley View and/or Walton Hills Municipalities served by the Chamber. The award recipient(s) are determined by the CVCC Scholarship Committee.

This CVCC scholarship is a monetary award given in recognition for a student’s scholastic and personal achievement. Awarding of the scholarship is based upon the applicant’s commitment to activities outside of school as well as extra-curricular school activities, and not solely upon academic achievements. The CVCC Scholarship award may be used towards vocational as well as higher education needs.

This year’s scholarship recipients will be invited to our May 21 State of the Schools Luncheon at the Holiday Inn.

If you know someone worthy of this scholarship, please email Charlene Paparizos at paparizos@yahoo.com for an application.

All applications must be received by April 13, 2008.
